About Me

Alice Faye Duncan

As a National Board Certified Teacher, I also write books for young learners. Memory is my motivation. I write to help children remember important moments from American History. My books are celebrated for their vivid imagery and lyrical texts that sound like music. My most popular titles include A Song for Gwendolyn Brooks; Just Like a Mama; Honey Baby Sugar Child; and Memphis, Martin, and the Mountaintop, which received a 2019 Coretta Scott King Honor Medal.  For publishing advice and writing tips--you can correspond with me at AesopWriters@gmail.com. My official website is www.alicefayeduncan.com
